Meredith Hampton, BYC Founder. Currently resides in Asheville, N.C.

Meredith, BYC founder, first started practicing yoga  many years ago and it didn’t quite grab her.IMG_8243 But something inside told her to give it a chance and to keep going back that one day it might be useful.  Savasana was the worst, it must of taken Meredith nearly a decade before she could be in that position without twiddling her thumbs, flopping her feet and aimlessly staring at the ceiling.  After years of an inconsistent yoga practice that didn’t stick, Meredith finally “got it” one day.  Yoga was there and she believes that the practice saved her life. It helped her to breathe, to recover, to heal, to open her heart, to see possibility, to release anxiety and worry, to offer compassion to herself and others and to be grateful for all there is.  Since then, Meredith has spent the last several years consistently practicing and she is constantly in awe of the whole magic of it. Meredith is inspired by many branches of yoga including Jivamukti, Universal, Ashtanga, Kundalini, Hatha, and Yin.
